What Is an eSIM?

An eSIM is an embedded SIM which is an electronic alternative to a physical SIM card that connects your mobile phone to a mobile network to make calls, send texts and use the internet.

How Do I Know If My Phone Supports eSIM?

Remember, whether or not your phone supports eSIM depends on where you live and what carrier you use. To check if your phone is compatible, you can go to the about section in your general settings and scroll down to view the carrier lock section. If your device is unlocked, it will show “No SIM restrictions”, and then you can scroll down to Digital SIM. If your device supports eSIM, it will show an IMEI number.
