Freedom Fibre has selected Xantaro to deliver a complete, end-to-end solution to speed up the rollout of gigabit-capable full-fibre networks across Shropshire. This partnership is part of the UK government’s Project Gigabit initiative, aimed at connecting underserved communities with high-speed internet.
As part of the agreement, Xantaro will supply its innovative “Cabinet-as-a-Service” street cabinet solution, working alongside fixed and IP services from Nokia. A key feature of this rollout is Xantaro’s “Golden Cab” concept, which involves thoroughly testing and configuring each cabinet in a staging facility before installation. This ensures that all Nokia equipment is fully operational and ready for fast, low-disruption deployment in the field.
Beyond the physical infrastructure, Xantaro is also providing comprehensive professional services. This includes high-level and low-level network design, configuration of active network elements, and the installation and commissioning of Nokia’s Altiplano management platform.
