Elevate has been awarded a major contract to deliver a full fibre internet network for St Helens Borough Council, forming a key part of the council’s ambitious Digital Infrastructure Programme.
The new network will significantly boost internet speed and reliability for both residents and businesses in the town centre. This development supports the wider regeneration of St Helens, as part of the Town Fund Programme, funded by the government’s Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.
Designed to future-proof the borough’s connectivity, the infrastructure will meet the growing digital needs of residents, businesses, and visitors for decades to come.

Elevate brings extensive experience in delivering full fibre infrastructure across the UK’s major cities and will apply this expertise to support St Helens’ digital ambitions.
As part of the project, Elevate will also partner with Tute Education, a specialist online education provider. A portion of the investment will go directly to Tute to enhance educational access across the borough. This will benefit local schools, students, parents, and carers by making high-quality education more accessible, especially in non-mainstream settings.
Tute’s mission is to help build an education system where every child, no matter their location or circumstance, can reach their full potential.
This project marks a significant step forward for St Helens, laying the foundations for a stronger, smarter, and more connected future.
